A Seven-Layered Extravagance

In our home these are called “Dump Cookies” because prep is just that easy. This is the not so secret family recipe:

Butter a 9×13 baking pan and add 1/2 cup of melted butter.

Add 1-1/2 cups Graham cracker crumbs. Press into melted butter to form an even layer for the crust.

Add a cup of chocolate chips in an even layer over the crumb mixture.

Layer 1 cup of butterscotch chips over the chocolate chips.

Add a cup of your favorite chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, pecan…) distributed evenly over the chips.

Add a cup of shredded coconut (unsweetened is fine) over the chopped nuts.

Now drizzle an entire can of sweetened condensed milk over the layered concoction, and bake at 325o for 25 minutes. The shredded coconut should be lightly toasted when you pull the pan out of the oven.

Allow to cool before cutting into 1″ squares, and hide a few for yourself before the family finds out you made their favorite again! These freeze fantastically. (Hint: Use parchment between so stacked cookies don’t stick together.)
